Celebrating Father’s Day with Power BI

March 19, 2018March 19th is Father’s Day in Portugal, and a handful of other countries, a tradition kept since the Middle Ages when it was as a celebration of St. Joseph’s Day.
This year, we decided to use Microsoft Power BI, one of our favorites pieces of technology, to find out how Father’s Days celebrations evolved over time at DevScope. Our initial plan was to simply find the answer to a simple question: “how many collaborators are celebrating father’s day for the first time in 2018?” As in everything Power BI-related data started pouring in and we couldn’t help but go a little overboard – obviously.
The end result was a nice picture of the birth rate at the office and a celebration of family. Click the picture to check it out:
